Welcome
To be deeply listened to, in a safe and non-judgemental environment, and to feel understood, sometimes for the first time in our lives, can be life changing. This is one of the reasons why having regular ongoing psychotherapy can be so transformative.
I follow an integrative, mindfulness-based approach to psychotherapy and counselling with the aim to support you to develop awareness. Through mindful awareness we can explore and release old patterns that may no longer serve us, enabling our inherent sense of well-being to flourish.
I am committed to providing psychotherapy / counselling that is confidential and non-judgemental and work with clients on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period. I work under the supervision of a UKCP supervisor and also work according to the Karuna Institute’s ethical code of practice. Having mindfulness and awareness at the heart of psychotherapy creates a deeply embodied and healing approach to therapy. It allows us to enquire into our experience of being in the world, and the challenges we face, whilst also coming to an appreciation of the inherent health and wholeness that is part of our human existence.
Mindfulness-based, Core Process Psychotherapy is a leading edge, UKCP accredited psychotherapy training which integrates ancient and current contemplative understandings with modern psychotherapeutic theories. I am currently in the final year of the Karuna Institute’s Master’s Level Post Graduate Diploma in Core Process Psychotherapy and am a trainee member of UKCP and ACPP.

I have worked in both the public and private sectors; within the charity sector supporting bereaved clients, working within the SEND department at a secondary school and ran a business for over 20 years in the hospitality industry. I have also held several voluntary roles supporting clients within the hospice movement and mental health services.
I have been meditating and involved within the Buddhist tradition for 30 years, attending retreats and workshops as well as facilitating retreats for others. A lifelong interest in communication has seen me facilitate and be involved in Compassionate Communication workshops in the London area for many years; and a regular meditation and Qi Gong practise help me to stay grounded and connected to my core values.
Whilst completing a BA Honours degree with the Open University I researched and studied epigenetics, exploring how our ancestors and their legacy can influence our lives in the present, and what significance and understanding we can gain from this.
Sessions are for 1 hour each and usually take place on a weekly basis in Chipping Ongar, Essex. Online sessions can also be arranged. I offer a free 30-minute introductory session either on the telephone or by Zoom.
